Commander of the Navy visits Hambantota International Port

Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, visited the Hambantota International Port (HIP) today. In an event that took place at the Maritime Center of the port where he was welcomed by Mr Johnson Liu, CEO of Hambantota International Port Group (HIPG). Rear Admiral Saman Perera, the Commander Southern Naval Area was also present.  

The Navy delegation was given a detailed briefing on the various aspects of the port operations and security related matters. 

The CEO of HIP thanked the Commander for the support given by the Navy for the Hambantota International Port towards maintaining its security for optimum productivity.

Also accompanying the Navy Commander was Commodore Kosala Warnakulasooriya, Naval Assistant;  Commodore C D Rajapaksha, Commodore Superintendent of Dockyard (South); Commodore Gajith Priyantha, Port Facility Security Officer, HIP. 

Captain Ravi Jayawickreme, CEO of Hambantota International Port Services (HIPS); Raymond Mu, CFO, HIPG; Capt Miyuru Gunasekara, GM, HIPS and Capt Shylendra Jeewakarathna (Rtd), Senior Manager Security, HIPS were also present.
