SECURITY

Port security is carried out in keeping with stipulations laid down by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code that was introduced in the year 2002 as a part of the Safety of Life At Sea (SOLAS) convention. The port is well-secured with our own security personnel who are augmented by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) and the Sri Lanka Police.
