HIPG CEO, Johnson Liu Donates a Traditional Chinese Cultural Buddha Statue

Galawila Rajamaha Viharaya is one of the main ancient temples in the Hambantota District, and one of HIP's key stakeholders representing the community. Based on the request made by Venerable Wimalabuddi Thero, HIPG CEO, Johnson Liu donated a Traditional Chinese Cultural Buddha Statue to symbolize the association between HIP and the Temple and to show the longstanding cultural relationship between China and Sri Lanka.

Johnson Liu, together with a few Management team members of HIP, visited Galwila Purana Raja Maha Viharaya to ceremoniously hand over the statue to the temple. The event was conducted under strict Covid Protocols and guidelines.

During the visit, Johnson Liu and the Management team members of HIP donated dry rations to the Chief Incumbent of the temple. Furthermore, Johnson had a discussion with the Chief Incumbent about the current pandemic situation of the country and how HIP could assist the community during this difficult time. During the discussion, Venerable Wimalabuddhi Thero appreciated the continuous and generous contribution of HIP towards the development of the Hambantota District and its community.

Event included a Pirith chanting session to invoke blessings of the Triple Gem on the HIP team and all citizens of Sri Lanka.
