HIP CEO Visits Galwila Rajamaha Viharaya

Galwila Rajamaha Viharaya is one of the principle ancient temples in the Hambantota District, and one of HIP's key partners representing the community. In acceptance of a previous invitation by the Chief Incumbent of the temple and the Chief Sangnayake of the Southern Province, Venerable Wimalabuddhi thero, HIP CEO, Mr. Johnson Liu visited the temple along with the Management team of HIP to commemorate the Vesak Poya day of 2021. The head monk invoked his blessings on the team for the future development of Hambantota International Port and safety of all our staff during the current pandemic.

During the visit, Johnson and the Management team participated in religious observances and had a productive discussion with the Chief Incumbent on future social development of the community around the port parallel to the economic development of the region.

The Buddhist Monks wished Johnson the strength as well as courage to perform his duties as the new CEO of the HIP. The visit ended with Johnson presenting and Chief incumbent Venerable Wimalabuddhi thero with a donation of essential items for the use of the temple.
